Time for New Cleaners?
So many businesses, instruct a commercial cleaning company to help with their office/facility hygiene and don’t actually know whether they’re getting a good service or not. So working with our area managers, we have established a checklist for you to use below!
Cleanliness Score – +3 Points each
- Black Dust…black sticky dust above door frames, on the tops of toilet stalls or skirting boards…it’s probably worth a chat?
- Slimy Sinks…have you got that slimy soap scum around your taps and sinks, surely this is a no-no!
- Smears Everywhere…Windows, Doors, Counter tops all smeared with chemical residue, is it a training issue, or a consumable availability issue?
Service Score – +2 Points each
- Invisible Management…if you don’t have an account manager or don’t see an area manager, then what value are you getting, outside of the cleaners?
- The Cleaners…are they well trained, do they hear from HQ enough, or even at all?
- Audits…are you party to the audit, do you get to walk around with the supervisor, do you even see the report, or do you have to ask?

Personality Score – +10 Points
- How do they make you feel? If they make you feel like your call is a chore…then is working with them the right thing for you and your business?
Compliance Score – +5 Points
- Have you ever had to deal with a cleaner with an outdated DBS Check, or training record, or even no cleaning record at site??…What other compliance issues could be set to arise??
