Case Study
In 1617, Anthony Church began a small production of handcrafted shoes in the English town of Northampton, known for its thriving shoe industry. It is now a globally successful brand owned by Prada.
The footwear market is very competitive, and handmade shoes represent the very pinnacle of quality. The challenge for Brightr has been to deliver a cleaning service that maximises the quality of the manufacturing environment for the craftsmen who are making the shoes. This means providing a service to clean an often-dirty industrial environment (glue, leather, other bits and pieces) as well as the offices, toilets, kitchens and canteen.
Recognising Church’s specific requirements, we tailored our approach to deliver a comprehensive cleaning solution. Our strategic partnership was built on several key factors:
Our ability to adapt to Church’s fluctuating cleaning needs. As the factory layout has changed to accommodate an ever-changing footwear market, this was a crucial factor in building the relationship.
Brightr has provided large scale factory deep cleans many times during our relationship. This has involved a range of specialist cleaning, both inside and outside of the factory. We also clean the kitchen and canteen vents to TR19 standard and provide certification.
We pride ourselves on being good communicators and on being quick to respond to changing needs.
To kick off our partnership, we began with a meticulous deep clean that set the bar for exceptional hygiene standards across the entire factory. This wasn’t just a one-off; it established a foundation of excellence that Church’s could rely on. Additionally, we seamlessly managed the TUPE transfer of existing staff, ensuring continuity without any hiccups in their day-to-day operations. As Church’s business has changed, we met the demands head-on, streamlining our cleaning process to train our cleaning team in upholding the high standards we put in place.
By maintaining a cared-for, clean environment, we contributed to their craftsmen’s ability to focus on what they do best: creating world-class, handcrafted footwear.
